I'm sure a lot of people share my love to travel the world - but isn't it possible to explore a country and its culture in an extraordinary way? In this blog I am going to represent crazy, funny or maybe even only interesting hotels, restaurants, tours and events. Maybe some of you might find some good tips for their next holiday.

New trend - robot restaurants

As it seems that one of the new trends are restaurants which got completely rid off human waiters and instead let robots do the work I am going to present you two of these restaurants.

1) 's Baggers in Nuremberg:
This restaurant is pretty advanced in technology. Food & beverages are ordered by touchscreen and will then delivered to your table on rails. I find pretty hard to imagine how it actually works but it obviously does work pretty well. During the week you can dine from 5pm to 11pm and on weekends from 11am to 11pm. The food is mainly typical local food and only high quality and partially organic ingredients are used. If you would like to experience this new kind of service by your own, make sure you made a reservation in advance.

2) Hajime Robot Restaurant in Bangkok:
Ever wanted your dinner to be served by a dancing robot? Then this place is definitely right for you. As in 's Baggers you are ordering your food via touchscreen but the difference is that your food will be picked up by your waiter the robot who brings it to your table. I thin it looks really funny with the big eyes and the samurai dress,,,just have a look

So what do you think would you prefer robots or human beings to serve you at restaurants?

Kumbuk River Resort in Sri Lanka

Now that peace has returned to Sri Lanka I am absolutely recommending a trip to this beautiful country. There is something to see and explore in almost every corner of this country and thanks to the Kumbuk River Resort it is now also a great destination for the lovers of unusual travelling.
The crazy part about this eco lodge is its shape of a huge elephant. However nature lovers will as well enjoy the  peaceful and almost untouched surrounding and the near located Yala National park.

If you don't want to spend your time here with strangers you can as well book the whole lodge, which can accommodate up to 10 people. Up to 2 person are currently paying around USD 275 for the whole lodge on full board basis and every additional guest has to pay around USD 88.

What do you think - would you like to sleep in the belly of a huge elephant? I will definitely try to pass by soon and experience it on my own...

Paparazzo-Sightseeing

I guess most people know the celebrity tours offered in LA where you can either drive around to catch a look at their villas or the other option to drive around and hope you get to see one of them.
In Munich, Germany you can actually be the celebrity on your own sightseeing tour. You and a maximum of 5 friends can book a stretch limousine in which you can do a sightseeing tour for an hour. Sounds still pretty normal right...but here it comes: during your tour you will be dropped at a popular place in the city where a paparazzi is going to do a foto shooting of you and your friends and your bodyguard will make sure he doesn't get to importunate. The level of fun depends of course mainly on how exciting you and your friends are going to make it.

The tour is available daily and you will also get a CD with your pictures. The tour is a bit costly with approximately € 350 but don't forget you're a celebrity...
